A large audience looks towards the stage of the FENSTERBAU FRONTALE Forum

What does the world of windows, doors and façades look like today and tomorrow? Practical answers to current and future topics will be provided by FENSTERBAU FRONTALE, which will take place from 24 to 27 March 2026 in conjunction with HOLZ-HANDWERK in Nuremberg. The world's leading international trade fair for windows, doors and façades is not only a showcase for innovations, but also a place for exchange and inspiration. The accompanying supporting programme allows trade visitors to delve deep into the topics that are driving the industry – from sustainable building concepts and digital solutions to new business models.

The new FENSTERBAU FRONTALE Stage forms the heart of international topics, innovation and networking and is designed as an open meeting place. It offers lectures and discussions on market-relevant topics, such as regulatory frameworks or the special features of individual markets. The FENSTERBAU FRONTALE Innovation Award ceremony will also take place here on the first day of the trade fair. Visitors can discover the nominated window, door and façade products on boards and engage directly with the innovations. The event is supported by AIT-Dialog and sponsored by ift Rosenheim.

‘With the new FENSTERBAU FRONTALE Stage, we are creating an international meeting place for knowledge and innovation. This is where market information, networking and inspiration come together – a must for anyone who wants to actively shape the industry,’ says Chiara Sträßner, Director Exhibition at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE.

‘Our supporting programme is the ideal complement to the trade fair. It not only imparts in-depth specialist knowledge but also offers the opportunity to exchange ideas with leading figures in the industry. Anyone who wants to know tomorrow's trends and set the course for the future should not miss Fensterbau Frontale 2026,’ emphasises Elke Harreiß, Executive Director at FENSTERBAU FRONTALE.

The FENSTERBAU FRONTALE Forum provides practical knowledge on key industry topics such as the future of the window and door industry, promoting innovation, current requirements for the window and façade industry, opportunities in the renovation market, as well as modular and serial construction methods. The ‘Window Manufacturer of the Year 2026’ and ‘MeisterAward’ will be presented live on stage. Expert talks will also take place there.

A common programme point with HOLZ-HANDWERK, in cooperation with the trade journal BM, is Focus Interior Doors, which puts the spotlight on exhibitors of modern door solutions. Here, visitors can learn how aesthetics, functionality and innovation can be combined. Leading manufacturers, fittings experts and suppliers will present the latest products, materials and trends, such as invisible fittings, flush door systems, acoustic and fire protection solutions, and smart technologies for interior design. The programme is complemented by the ‘Focus Interior Doors’ guided tour, which takes visitors directly to the relevant exhibitors.

Start-ups and young companies will be presenting their products and innovations at the ‘Young Innovators’ joint stand. This will once again be sponsored by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) and organised in collaboration with HOLZ-HANDWERK.

The special exhibition ‘klima.sicher.bauen’ (climate.safe.building) by ift Rosenheim shows how construction products can be designed to be sustainable, climate-proof and future-proof. The focus is on reducing CO₂ emissions, resource-efficient manufacturing, easy repair and maintenance, and protection against extreme weather conditions.
The special exhibition “Metallbautreff” (metal construction meeting) powered by metall-markt.net offers a contact point with a focus on products, innovations and information from the metal construction industry and creates plenty of opportunities for networking.

Another highlight is the free Forum Architecture-Window-Facade, which requires registration and will take place on 26 March 2026 in cooperation with AIT-Dialog at NCC Ost. Under the motto ‘Balance – Building in Equilibrium’, specialist presentations will shed light on the major challenges facing the construction industry. The focus will be on how functionality, design and sustainability can be reconciled. Topics for discussion will include concepts for flexible building structures, the importance of green façades for the microclimate and the combination of traditional craftsmanship with digital technologies. Afterwards, suitable exhibitors will be visited as part of a guided tour.

FENSTERBAU FRONTALE is the trade fair where visitors can experience innovations, discover business opportunities and actively shape the future of the industry. The conceptual sponsors are the trade association “Glass, Window, Facade Baden-Württemberg” and the state guild association of the Bavarian glazier trade. The cooperation partner is ift Rosenheim.
