The session will show how glass calculation according to DIN 18008 can be implemented in a practical and simple way. With practical tips, tested structures, type statics and software tools, as well as an outlook on the Eurocode Glass, you will get a compact overview of current developments.
The main focus will be on the essential content relevant to window and façade manufacturers. Among other things, the newly formulated categories relating to barrier glazing will also be explained. The tools, type statics, software tools, guidelines of the Federal Flat Glass Association, etc. mentioned for daily work will also be shown to make the application of DIN 18008 easier in everyday life.
