The 8th edition of the Guide to Planning and Installing Windows and Front Doors for New Builds and Renovations, published by RAL-Gütegemeinschaft Fenster, Fassaden und Haustüren e.V., Frankfurt am Main, has now been published for 30 years and has proven itself as a guidebook and useful practical aid for installation tasks. It shows both the recognized rules of technology and the state of the art with regard to the installation of windows and front doors. The presentation will cover the main changes and innovations in the new edition on the topics of general and special requirements, planning tasks, building physics requirements, anchoring and load transfer, sealing and practical execution with examples of execution.
