D-Lev is new to Germany. Founded in 2025 and based in Bünde, East Westphalia, the company works with its technology partner Ironlev to develop bespoke solutions for system suppliers of sliding doors, lift-and-slide doors and windows; for building component manufacturers and façade contractors; for manufacturers of interior sliding doors and partition wall systems; for architects; and for specialist hardware retailers. The name refers to the concept of levitation. The principle of passive levitation is based on permanent magnets whose magnetic fields interact with one another to generate a repulsive force that overcomes gravity and enables smooth, light and controlled levitation without the need for an external power supply.
