Designing the built environment for the future

The BFH-AHB is the only educational and research institution in Switzerland that combines architecture, wood engineering and civil engineering under one roof. With our internationally recognised Wood Innovation Centre, we have decades of experience in the use of natural resources and contribute to a sustainably built environment.

Our practice- and science-oriented study and continuing education programmes prepare specialists for their professional practice and promote interdisciplinary exchange. Research and development are carried out in close cooperation with partners from industry and society, resulting in tailor-made, innovative solutions – including in the areas of windows, doors and curtain walls.
