Bischof+Klein – specials unit
Bischof+Klein is a leading European producer of flexible product protection made of plastic. The company produces innovative and highly-converted industrial and consumer packaging as well as technical films for well-known customers in virtually all industries. Bischof+Klein TacFlex® surface protection films, heat-bonded films, and technical laminates or films for lamination from Bischof+Klein are in use around the world. Particular importance is attached to the CleanFlex® product series, which is manufactured under class 5 clean room conditions at rest.
Innovativeness
The innovation center at Bischof+Klein's Lengerich headquarters is an important hub for the development of sustainable film and packaging solutions. Plastics processing engineers, mechanical engineers, raw material suppliers, and customers from all markets work on the film and packaging solutions of the future here. The common objective is the development of highly efficient packaging and film solutions for all types of applications. Reliable quality and maximum safety are crucial, particularly for high-purity products, but also for protective films for sensitive surfaces.
The Bischof+Klein-GROUP
The Bischof+Klein-GROUP operates around the world with a strong network of sales offices and employs around 2,800 staff at five production plants in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and Poland. In 2022, the Bischof+Klein-GROUP generated annual sales of around 675 million euros.
Machinery
The Bischof+Klein-GROUP manufactures using cutting-edge lines for mono/co-extrusion, gravure/flexographic printing, solvent-based/solvent-free lamination and coating as well as for extrusion lamination and coating. Highly-developed conversion technology with product-specific facilities for sealed, welded, and adhesive designs enables optimum film and packaging solutions. Bischof+Klein is one of a very few companies in Europe to produce clean room class 5 at rest packaging in the form of its CleanFlex® product line.
Tested quality
Our quality management system is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015. The two German plants and the Bischof+Klein (UK) plant in Telford manufacture food packaging in compliance with the internationally recognized BRCGS hygiene standards. The clean room production facility is certified according to DIN EN ISO 15378 “Primary packaging materials for medicinal products.”
Sustainability
Bischof+Klein places ecological, social, and economic challenges on an equal footing in its sustainability management. Bischof+Klein has regularly published environmental statements since 1987. Since 2011, these have formed part of the annual sustainability report together with milestones and sustainability goals.
