iCOR from Deceuninck – the first universal building block for window and door profiles
Bogen, March 2020. Deceuninck presents a world première, iCOR: The first building block that enables window profiles for sashes and frames that come in the widest range of styles and technologies to be combined with one another. iCOR will assume a central strategic position throughout Europe and become a core feature of all profiles made by Deceuninck in Europe.
iCOR is the first core that can be universally used for all profiles
iCOR is the world’s first building block that can be used to combine all profile types for the widest range of sashes and frames. No matter whether you are talking about elegant or minimalistic design, flush or offset windows, glass-fibre reinforced or foam insulated, for a new building or a renovation project: Thanks to its sophisticated design, the iCOR core can be combined easily with every sash series. Profile types with various mounting depths can also be easily replaced. In the process, Deceuninck has created a new, more efficient product structure.
Time savings and increased flexibility in production are two clear strengths of the new system. Added to these features is a significantly reduced level of complexity, an improvement that also helps to lower inventories. iCOR enables Deceuninck customers to reach an unmatched level of interchangeability of the widest range of profile designs – while offering window systems with exceptional technical qualities. Customers can select their desired profile combination based on their specific needs.
iCOR is already a success in the Elegant system
The iCOR platform is already being used as the basis for the Elegante window profile system. The Elegant system combines thermal insulation with sleek design. With a rebate of 9 mm, Elegant is the sleekest PVC profile available in the market. Thanks to the iCOR core, it will become possible in Germany to use glass-fibre reinforced profiles that offer improved thermal insulation, a unique level of stability and an even smaller rebate of just 7 mm, all without the use of steel.
Now Deceuninck will, for the first time, present a front door system for Elegant at Fensterbau Frontale 2020. The new system will be shown at the trade fair in two versions – with and without integrated ThermoFibra fibreglass technology – and based on the new iCOR building block system that is unrivalled throughout the world: Just like the new Dutch system, which will also be presented. Both new systems will be available from 1 June 2020.
