technique for substructures made of derived timber products from 50 mm width. The logical system technology
reliably separates the wooden components providing the creative effect from functional components made of
aluminium and EPDM.
The version H-I particularly suits curtain walls and glass roofs with an inclination of up to 2°, and is thus ideally suited for use in any types of conservatories made of wood and aluminium.
The version H-V is ideal for extraordinarily filigree and economical curtain wall solutions, featuring reduced views of the
Technical highlight: Wooden connectors:
The mullion-transom system is of crucial importance regarding the quality and stability of a glass façade. The load of the glass panes lying in front of the wooden construction and the effects of torsion in the transom must be securely transferred, and reliably led off to the support construction, taking loads caused by wind pressure and wind suction into account. The RAICO wooden connector system which is invisible after assembly has been developed especially for these conditions. The basic version SOLO consists of three components which are screwed laterally to the mullion and to the front side of the transom. After the assembly of the transom, they are pulled tight with the help of special self-piercing screws. The basic version allows a glass load transfer of up to 248 kg. The advanced version KOMBI allows a glass load transfer of up to 596 kg, the version INTEGRAL of up to 694 kg. All types of wooden connectors can be assembled conveniently in easy steps. A perfect T-connection is made possible by the integrated end-stop and the transom’s pressure affecting the complete depth. The RAICO connector has been officially approved by building control authorities. It provides the perfect solution for any wood-glass façade, coming in the versions SOLO, KOMBI, and
Highly efficient heat insulation up to passive-house quality with Uf = 0.8 W/(m²K) (considering screw influences).
Two types of aluminium basic profiles to be screwed on: with or without guiding presser foot.
Screw connection officially approved by building control authorities, for derived timber products with widths from 50 mm.
Complete loads chain and glass load transfer approved by building control authorities.
Quick and easy screwing of the basic profiles, suitable also for assembly with magazine-fed electric screwdrivers.
Secure fixing of all building components inside the end-to-end aluminium screwing channel.
No components piercing the wooden construction from the outside.
Integrated drainage system in continuous gasket in three levels.
