Simple and safe – the Handle of excellence with a finger scanner
HOPPE entrance door hardware with an integrated finger scanner offer exceptionally convenient keyless access control: the scanning elements are ergonomically integrated directly into a square bar pull handle or a door pad, enabling the door to be unlocked and opened in one seamless movement. The scanners used come from the manufacturer Idencom. They are especially easy to use and work regardless of climatic conditions. Assembly is trouble-free for the installer.
Keyless access control technology is becoming increasingly common – in the private and industrial area. For practical reasons and in order to reduce the potential for misuse, unchanging physical features are often used for identification. Using a person's finger instead of a key is the most commonly applied concept. HOPPE presents entrance door hardware with integrated finger scanner: To unlock the door, simply move your finger over a scanner field inserted into the handle. The advantage is that, unlike scanner fields placed near the entrance door, these enable a door to be unlocked and opened in a single action.
The finger scanning technology used here is supplied by Idencom, a leading provider of biometric identification systems. These scanners are recognized for their high level of user-friendliness and exceptional functional reliability – they work flawlessly even under extreme climatic conditions. The compact stainless steel design allows the finger scanner to blend in beautifully with HOPPE hardware. Both bar-shaped pull handles and one knob design have been fitted with the keyless access control technology. HOPPE is the only European manufacturer to offer a knob with a finger scanner – either on a security fitting or on rose!
The finger scanner is simple and intuitive to use. Teach-in processes take place via the scanner itself, while other settings, such as authorisation management, can be configured using a small remote control. The system can store up to 150 fingerprints. The Idencom finger scanners offer a high level of security. Unlike systems that require a finger just to be placed on the scanner, this finger scanner identifies the fingerprint from the movement. No image of the fingerprint remains on the scanner itself – thus unauthorised replication is not possible. The finger scanner is particularly impervious to environmental conditions. It can withstand temperatures from -20 to +85 degrees Celsius and is also sealed watertight (IP class 65).
HOPPE hardware with a finger scanner are easy to install for any professional installer: no additional milling of the door leaf is required – simply route a pre-assembled cable from the pull-handle support or the knob to the motorized lock. Apart from this, HOPPE hardware with finger scanners are installed in the same way as before using the familiar HOPPE pull handle fixing system.
Like the finger scanners from Idencom, HOPPE hardware with finger scanners are manufactured in Germany.
