ASSA ABLOY Sicherheitstechnik GmbH has developed a new technology that combines security, accessibility and comfort in one door closer. The specialist for security technology has expanded its extensive portfolio with Close-Motion®.
In hotels, offices, schools or hospitals, doors fitted with door closers often cause disruptive closing noises. The setting for secure closing is often so forceful that the door causes high levels of noise when closing. To solve this problem and to combine closing comfort with increased sealing or noise protection requirements, additional components were required in the past. This poses major challenges for planners and installers, however. With the Close-Motion® door closer technology from ASSA ABLOY, the company has found an innovative solution to this problem.
Integration with no structural changes
The innovative Close-Motion® function is integrated in the extended housing of the door closer without the need for separate components. This has no negative impact on the design and the attractive appearance is retained. Close-Motion® reduces noise development and guarantees reliable closing damping and secure closing against the seal. The backcheck and opening speed can be controlled easily. Retrofitting can be carried out easily on existing doors with DIN drilling pattern.
The door closer with Close-Motion® can be integrated easily in electromechanical systems. Specific conditions on-site, such as temperature fluctuations, do not require any unscheduled maintenance work and the door closer does not need to be adjusted to work correctly. Once installed, the new technology guarantees reliable and silent closing. This means that the door closer with Close-Motion® fulfills the requirements of public buildings with regard to security, accessibility and comfort.
