Glass fibre technology opens up new avenues in front door fabrication: Rovex front door panel by Inoutic with integrated sash frame
The new "Rovex" front door panel combines two structural units and in so doing allows easier and more economical fabrication. The fibreglass sash is integrated into the two-sided sash-covering front door panel. Customers order a complete panel from Inoutic, including holes and recesses for the fittings.
Front doors are among the most stressed elements of a building. The many openings and closings to which they are subjected mean that they must be extremely stable and resistant to warping. At the same time, their tightness and energy efficiency must remain guaranteed for many years. And it goes without saying that design is just as important to architects and building owners.
The Rovex front door from Inoutic meets these demands and offers customers many additional advantages. With Rovex, the front door panel and sash frame are constructed as a unit. Continuous glass fibres in the sash provide high warping resistance. This means that the panel does not distort even when strong temperature fluctuations occur. At the same time, in the case of a standard door size the system is up to 20 kilogrammes lighter than a normal two-sided sash-covering panel door.
The frame and the Rovex panels are not bonded but are joined by a steel plate with a PU foam filling. The panels can be combined with the Prestige and Arcade profile systems. The complete panel can be ordered via an online configurator – including the holes and recesses for the fittings. Installers only have to secure the fittings and place the panel into the frame. This facilitates fabrication and saves on costs.
A Rovex front door is also extremely energy-efficient. Ud values of < 0.8 W/m²K passive house standard are achieved with a panel thickness of 72 mm. Also, no wishes remain unfulfilled in terms of design. A choice of eight colours is available for the single-side version, with six available for the double-side version. A large number of glass and design elements are also available.
The Rovex sash profiles are a further development of the Innergy door system that won the Innovation Award for Architecture + Window Door Façade at Fensterbau Frontale 2014. The first prototypes are currently being produced with selected customers. The panels are expected to be available to order from the end of the year via the Inoutic Online customer portal.
