Nordic paint manufacturer Teknos will be presenting an overview of its industrial coating systems for windows, doors and facade elements. The focus is on practical solutions for colourless, translucent and opaque coatings for wood and additional substrates. The company is also presenting original sample profiles from worldwide long-term weathering tests, which show how different climatic factors affect the wood and coating. The SimSpray training simulator makes for a sporting challenge at the Teknos stand, where visitors can put their coating skills to the test with a 3D helmet and a real spray pistol.
“Reliable production processes, high surface quality and demonstrable durability are important to window and door manufacturers,” says Teknos Product and Marketing Manager Søren Juhl Hansen. “That’s why at this fair, we’re deliberately concentrating on systems which have already proven themselves in practical use. We do not put the focus on individual products, but on the right overall solution for the customer’s specific requirements. This also includes competent technical support and long-standing experience with industrial applications and weathering tests in a variety of climate zones.”
Teknos will be presenting a total of twelve different coating systems at its stand in Nuremberg. These include translucent coating systems on pine, spruce, meranti and Accoya with system products such as Teknol Aqua 1410-01, the flowcoat primer Aquaprimer 2900 and the topcoat Aquatop 2600. In the king’s class of colourless coating, Teknos will be presenting coatings with clear coat or conifer oil with effective UV protection. The selection of opaque systems covers samples of spruce, pine and meranti with a variety of intermediate treatments. For a PVC coating with short process times, Teknos is presenting solutions with water borne 1K Aquacoat 2661 coating in various pigmentations and surfaces.
