Geneseptoy® 88 is a product group for the preservation of and addition to liquid
and solid plastics.
Geneseptoy® 88 is a natural mineral mixture and therefore 100% nature, which has been prepared using a patented procedure for the use with paint materials. It increases considerably the age resistance of organically based substances, such as plastics, lacquer or wood and paper. Geneseptoy® 88 can be added as a powder or as liquid suspension.
How is for example wood being destroyed?
Low bacteria or fungi are the primary settler on top of any surface. For wood the blue stain is well known. It settles preferably in grooves and pores. Using a secreted enzyme, the cellulase, and sufficient water, the long polymer chain of the lignocellulose of the cell walls is being cracked into small sugar components and thus transformed into food. The fungi can grow and serves as food for more evolved types of fungi. Thus, the destruction continues. Wood destroying insects, such as termites, transform wood into sugar using this enzyme to use as food.
How does toxic wood protection work?
Here, a range of organic substances or metallic ions such as zinc, copper or chrome are being used. These penetrate through the cell wall of the aggressor, travel through to the cell nucleus and disrupt the cell division. Thus, an active killing takes place. For insects, neurotoxins, such as permethrin, are additionally being used, to guarantee fast effectiveness. Unfortunately, any of these compounds cannot distinguish between friend and enemy. The toxicological effect for humans, animals and the environment is very hard to control, due to the extreme smallness of these compounds, some of which lie in sub-nano area.
Functioning of Geneseptoy® 88?
Inspired by our human immune system, a different way for effectiveness is being used.
Foreign bodies which penetrate into our blood are being wrapped up and thus their activity being hindered and transported out of the body. Geneseptoy® 88 uses the same protective wall principle. On wooden surfaces, it firstly occupies the pores, the intercellular space and thus places itself in front of the cell walls. Using a fixation feature it is durably embedded in this area. Combined with a water-repellent function, organic primary settlers find it very difficult to gain a foothold. In the unlikely event that they succeed, the released enzyme cellulase experiences a complexometric bounding and cannot get active as a food provider.
