POLFLAM has on offer fire-resistant glass, class EI 180 of the performance features earlier unattainable. The latter means that the glass can now be applied where it was formerly prohibited according to fire-protection and construction requirements. This is a true revolution on European scale.
The product has been tested primarily for foreign customers as they were the ones to report the need.
It’s lighter and that’s great!
Compared with other technology solutions, POLFLAM glass weighs less by several tens percent! The significantly lower weight of the glass means lower linear and concentrated load on the building’s structure. Such a wall does not require any particularly reinforced structure; therefore, it does not add complexity to engineering or construction work. Both the cost of the wall itself and the cost of lighter structure are lower. The competitive advantage of POLFLAM glass is self-evident – with comparable construction properties, POLFLAM products provide for doubled resistance to fire through holding back fire for as long as three hours! The glass will also be effective as a sound attenuating barrier; the acoustic insulation factor Rw for the EI 180 glass being as high as 45 dB.
POLFLAM has on offer glass panels of maximum dimensions of 2200 x 4200 mm, which makes it possible to build glass walls of the full height of the room and practically unlimited length. Such partitions are particularly impressive when installed in frameless systems.
POLFLAM glass is resistant to the UV radiation with no need of using the film. Its resistance to mechanical damage is outstanding. There is no need of positioning the panel or using any complex fitting method.
Unique and universal
The POLFLAM EI 180, just like its glass of any other class can be applied both outdoor and indoor. It can be part of facades, skylights, partitions, doors, windows, stairs or ceilings. The list is as long as the designer’s imagination allows it to be.
