Hot Melt Butyl Sealant is a solvent-free sealing material made on the basis of high quality Isobutylene-Isoprene Rubber (IIR) and polyisobutylene (PIB), this product has strong adhesive sealing performance for material like glass, aluminum, and stainless steel, it also has the characteristics of no cracks, no hardening, moisture resistance, good blocking effect of water vapor, it is the best material for the first sealed process in the manufacture of dual-sealed insulated glass.

Clean the aluminum spacer for later use.
Put the hot melt butyl sealant into the extruder cylinder and heat to 110°C - 120°C; after temperature maintaining stability in thermostat, apply the strip onto the rabbet of the aluminum spacer when the extruding strip is evenly distributed without breaking, cool it down and compress with the clean glass to make semi-finished insulated glass, after apply the strip onto the outer track and become solid, the insulated glass is finally output.
Before making the dual-sealed insulated glass, the related compatibility experiment to double sealant is necessary in order to extend its service life.
When taking and using the hot melt butyl sealant, keep your hands clean, avoid the dust, oil and dissolvent (such as acetone, gasoline, etc.) stick to its surface, wear lint-free glove while extruding the strip and to applying the sealant, pay attention to the hot rubber to avoid scalding, the glove which you wear to touch the rubber should be clean, no burr and other contaminant which easily stick to the rubber.
